Make a wish whilst

Wistfully wandering

Amongst Wisteria,

As it twists

And tumbles over

A humble door.

Bumblebees soar

After collecting the

Delicate nectar:

A misty mead

perfume.

Spring wishes

spring wishesSpring flowers,

Winter showers,

Tingling cheeks,

Secretly wishing for

Warm weeks.

Over the last few days when I have been out walking, my cheeks have smarted from the bitter winds, reminding me that we are not far enough away yet from winter days. However, spotting the peeping of little Violets, Narcissi and primrose and the beautiful displays of hyacinths in village gardens, make me feel optimistic and wishing for warm days when one can feel the sun’s gentle energy.

Don’t forget the solar eclipse on Friday 20th March.

Floral Thursday: Fortuitous Fuchsia

image

Fortuitous fuchsia,
Fascinating;
Fastidious;
Fanciful!
Whimsical wings;
Stamens sing;
A wish in the wind:
Lingering twinkling,
Fairy dust glittering,
Delicate bells tinkling.

A-Z Writing challenge letter ‘W’ Wishing Tree

image

Hidden in the Wishing Tree,
Tokens large and small
Embellish hollows
And nooks.
Adornments, silver bells,
Moonstones and Quartz
Rose scented fairy cakes,
Strings of river pearls,
Patiently hang from
Creaking boughs
Awaiting spring dawn.

As Cuckoos cry,
Dryads fly, dancing
With butterflies.
Nymphs kiss each wish,
Encasing in pearlescent bubbles,
Releasing far away to
The land where wishes
Are fulfilled.

Satisfied,  the Wishing Tree
Shakes, stretches branches
Waiting for new wishes to come.

Make a wish!
