Angels’ breath

2015-06-21 23.02.41-1_1

We sat quietly last night upon a hill and watched the sun go down, reflecting on our fathers and watching daughters and sons walking with their fathers enjoying a rather special evening.  I heard many bells ringing and owls hooting as the sun melted into the soft blanket and then darkness fell.

Angels breath floats

On tangerine waves

Over turquoise seas

As serenity breathes.

Rainbow dew

rainbow dewShivering,

Inkblot sky,

Drenching its thirst

With a candle glow like burst:

A shimmering birth,

Arcing the universe

As rainbow dew

Soaks the earth,

Infusing hope

And

Rejuvenation.

It is always a special moment watching a rainbow appearing on the horizon, then fading into a calming sky followed by a sunburst. Even though I was drenched, I felt rejuvenated by its luminosity and beauty.

As spring’s

Like twinkling stars
Of our ancestors.anemones

Savour the serenity
For eternity.

Reflecting on yesterday’s goodness

Reflecting on yesterday's goodness

Reflecting on the goodness and
Vitality of yesterday
Makes today special.

Watching the sun going down and listening to nature’s lullaby inpired me to reflect and take forward that moment in time to the next day. Live every day as a special day.

Writing challenge: Health

For this challenge we were asked to consider the importance of our health.
My health has its ups and downs and I find writing helps me to focus, feel grounded and connected. I love it!
The photo was taken on our wedding day last year, we had a lovely day with dear relatives and friends. My uncle was at the time and is still in extremely poor health and yet he travelled several hundred miles to be part of our celebration.
Here’s my contribution:

Sanguine Passion flower

image

Passion flower,
Like a shimmering
Shooting star
In a dazzling galaxy,
Seeds in a secret
Garden.
As the earth
Launches tendrils,
Tenderly,
A fire lights within,
Purple petals
Unfold like
An infants hand,
Innocently attractive,
Sanguine and serene.

Celebration of love

image

Ethereal mist
Flows through
The wrought iron
Aged bench
Whispering
Messages of love,
Weaving hope
Amongst heavenly
Herbs
And golden buttercups.
Years of enduring love
Creak sympathetically
With weathered wood,
Serenely surveying
The synergy of nature
Like the romantic celebration
Of eternal love.

A-Z writing challenge ‘Z’ Zephyr

image

When zephyrs float by
Like fine cotton blouses,
it’s going to be a good day!
Gentle breezes massaging
The face, ruffling hair.

Zephyrs magically scribble
Spirited messages.
Aeromancy: fanciful
Horses can  bring power,
Seraphins, protection
From sentinels.
Zephyrs blow
Away nightmares
Bringing calm
And happiness.

A-Z Writing challenge letter ‘W’ Wishing Tree

image

Hidden in the Wishing Tree,
Tokens large and small
Embellish hollows
And nooks.
Adornments, silver bells,
Moonstones and Quartz
Rose scented fairy cakes,
Strings of river pearls,
Patiently hang from
Creaking boughs
Awaiting spring dawn.

As Cuckoos cry,
Dryads fly, dancing
With butterflies.
Nymphs kiss each wish,
Encasing in pearlescent bubbles,
Releasing far away to
The land where wishes
Are fulfilled.

Satisfied,  the Wishing Tree
Shakes, stretches branches
Waiting for new wishes to come.

Make a wish!

A-Z writing challenge, ‘U’ Undulating experience

image

Quiet backwater,
Contemplates,
Undulates, waiting
For enchanted admirers
Who seek tranquillity.

As dreams unfold,
Nature’s story is told,
Larks chorus,
Wood pigeon’s purr,
Swans drifting
Waiting for waters to stir.
Red Admirals flirt
With nectar rich flaura,
Honey bees
Seek wild Primula.
