We sat quietly last night upon a hill and watched the sun go down, reflecting on our fathers and watching daughters and sons walking with their fathers enjoying a rather special evening. I heard many bells ringing and owls hooting as the sun melted into the soft blanket and then darkness fell.
Angels breath floats
On tangerine waves
Over turquoise seas
As serenity breathes.
Enticing Iris,
‘Spring’s icing’!
Chiffon angel’s wings,
Shimmer and zing.
Golden bells ding
In seed scented breeze.
Ethereal Blue hue,
Serene,
Pure and true.
Wise woodland
Happily sighs
As spring’s
Jewels are
A beautiful
Surprise.
Delicate Anemones
Like twinkling stars
Of our ancestors.
Bluebells’ intoxicating
Vapours;
Violets’ sweet flavour.
Savour the serenity
For eternity.
A solitary swan,
Gracefully glides,
Riding gleaming ripples,
Peacefully preening.
Siding with me,
Confiding about dreams
Black and white or colour? It was a quiet, sunny and warm day. I heard the swan’s feathers gentle moving in the breeze before I saw the beautiful ‘Queen of the water’, watching inquisitively and nearing the water’s edge. In the colour photograph, I feel the warmth of the day and enjoy the natural, special moment with the swan, gleaming in all its glory! However the black and white brings out the serenity of the moment and fits Cee’s fun challenge theme of ‘white’.

On a lovely peaceful walk around the village of Kimpton, Hertfordshire, we came across these serene Snowdrops,delicately grouped around the old trees,lighting up the winter’s day. I’m reading the above amazing book at the moment and found Victoria’s meaning very appropriate. I hope you enjoy my post.
Demure Ox-eye daisies,
Like a sky
Studded with stars,
Shimmering,
Serene.
Pretty petals
Pure,
Pristine.
Dancing,
Daisies at
Your feet,
Lifting
Your spirits
With a
Primative
Treat.
Paper white,
Dream homestead,
An invitation of
Freshly laundered linen,
Sweet oiled pine
And a baby soft blanket;
Cosseted by blossom
Laden blooms of
Gently beating hearts.
Windows zealously open,
Bringing in
The serene signature
Of the natural
Healing garden.
As evening weaves
Her magic,
Soft, rippling
Waves,
Lulls signets and chicks
Into a web of
Nurturing dreams.
As serenity captures
The sun’s cooling rays,
Evening sighs
And closes
Her eyes.
Swooping, startled flock
Searching for sanctuary over turbulent waters
Find serenity in sheltered woodlands.
Weaving tendrils,
Nature’s universal braille,
Breathing berried fruits,
Some soothing,
Some sour or sweet.
Sympathy Or Serenity.
