Weekly photo challenge: Fresh

Fresh faced

Fresh faced,
She emerges
From wild, lush
Greens,
Damp from
Morning’s
Dewy glaze.
Bright and playful,
She eagerly
Waits.

Weekly photo challenge: Nostalgia: Memory cottage

photo challenge, ‘nostalgic’image

Granny’s gate
Always open.
Skipping along
The cobbled path,
Brushing by
Candyfloss flowers
And lollypop lupins.
Icing sugar windows
Glisten.

West wind blows
Memories through
The front door;
Wibbly wobbly
Licorice beams
And painted furniture
For the three bears.
Rippling rose syrup
Ice cream topped
With sugar violets,
Savoured whilst
Wooed with
Tales of olden days
And recipes of
Dripping pink
Iced buns and
Drizzling
Lemon cake.

Whispers of
Garden Fairies
Painting dainty
Dust on playful
Plump plums,
Blushing berries
And sparkling
Strawberries.

Glowing gran
Kisses goodbye,
The vignette fades
To a hazy
Kaleidoscopic
Dream.

Nostalgia brings
Tears of joy,
Weeps away fears
And deeply
Heals.

Weekly photo challenge: Provocative, swaggering curves

image

Giggling geraniums,
Curvacious,
Oozing a heady bouquet,
Tumbling in tiers.
An extravaganza in pink!
They transcend into
A pageant of players
From a vintage musical,
Dancing to Dixieland,
Stunning the audience
With luxuriant fuchsia smiles,
Proudly, provocative,
Swaggering their curves.

I am interested in how nature triggers the imagination by synergistically tempting the senses, thus releasing creative energy to produce photographs which evoke inspirational poetry. This photo was taken in a nineteenth century orangery. Initially I was drawn to the voluptuous curves of the flowers, cascading in an amazing display and their intense aroma, which captivated me to take the photo and then create the poem. I hope you enjoy my post.
