Rainbow dew

rainbow dewShivering,

Inkblot sky,

Drenching its thirst

With a candle glow like burst:

A shimmering birth,

Arcing the universe

As rainbow dew

Soaks the earth,

Infusing hope

And

Rejuvenation.

It is always a special moment watching a rainbow appearing on the horizon, then fading into a calming sky followed by a sunburst. Even though I was drenched, I felt rejuvenated by its luminosity and beauty.

Serene Snowdrops

Serene Snowdrops

Serene Snowdrops,

Soulful,

Sometimes

Woeful.

Gallantly graceful,

Forever hopeful.

Snowdrops

‘consolation and hope’

from Victoria’s dictionary of flowers

‘The Language of Flowers’

On a lovely peaceful walk around the village of Kimpton, Hertfordshire, we came across these serene Snowdrops, delicately grouped around the old trees, lighting up the winter’s day.  I’m reading the above amazing book at the moment and found Victoria’s meaning very appropriate.  I hope you enjoy my post.

Snowdrops

Snowdrops are like angels’ tears of joy
Appearing when our hearts are forlorn
Brooding over dense, gloomy skies.

Abundantly they sway their demure heads in
Sweet, gentle spring  breezes,
Chattering together on the banks of village lanes.

Spring brings hope and happiness to all of us.

Red Remnant of Autumn

Crumpled withered memory
Frosted crackled tones.

Scented breeze envelops
Her veins.

She falls falls

Sunlight soothes, energises
Stretch twigs, branches
Yawn breathe ‘spring’.

Treacle soft bud
Bursts like a sticky crysalis
Releasing its young.
