Amazing alliums,
Purple blazing pom poms
Like a summer Starry sky.
Gazing at the trailing constellation,
Warmed by satiated petal faces.
These gorgeous alliums are enjoying their performance in our newest border; an explosion of deep magenta, so structural and yet delicate and elegant.
Rhapsodic roses
Tumbling from pergolas
Showering our senses with
Aromatic essences;
Dreamy marshmallow,
Teeny fairy dancers,
Sprinkles of sherbet,
So tangy with a hint of lemon curd;
Silky peach petals so delightful,
Fluttering in buttery summer light.

It is our first summer at Brown Hare cottage and time to celebrate our beautiful garden. It has progressed from a bramble wildeness to an abundance of cottage flowers, borders, a veg plot and a small orchard. Time to have a celebration and toast our glasses of Elderflower cordial to our first summer. May there be many more…we are not going to move house again. Enjoy and blessings. 🙂
I loved walking along this garden path discovering the magic of the cottage garden.Look how the Buddlea draws us closer to the open blue framed bedroom window. Perhaps an artist is sitting there painting the view and enjoying the scented summer. For me, experiencing this hideaway garden was a very special moment. I hope you enjoy it too. 🙂

On a sun warmed
Seat;
In a tranquil haven,
Designed by a
Kind, passionate eye.
Soothing woody notes
And heavenly essences,
Bring back memories:
Tales wind their way
Through shady glades,
Laughter lightens
The day.
As shadows deepen,
Flowers curl up
And bow their sleepy
Heads,
As the peachy glowing
Ball of light grows,
Vines creak
And silence
Descends.
