Ice fairies shake their wings

Over forlorn umber seedheads, forgotten:

They kiss brittle leaves, weathered

By cruel winds;

Tinged with sweet powder of life,

Russet, Crimson, damson and evergreen leaves reach out for

Spring, which will come soon

Singing in the sweet breeze.

Frozen paws

Tread gingerly in the furrows.

Rabbits huddle in their burrows.

Golden glaze,

Clairvoyance gaze,

Ethereal haze.

Fairies skating,

Sunbeam drenching;

Melting,

Squeaking,

Cracks

Splits.

Treats,

Tricks,

Whistle,

Licks!

We loved our walk across the frozen field, I hope you enjoy walking with me.

A magical glade,

A golden mantle lain;

Icy jangles,

Crispy tangles,

Fancy dangles

Reflecting wishes

and tales from far

Off lands.
