Angels’ breath

2015-06-21 23.02.41-1_1

We sat quietly last night upon a hill and watched the sun go down, reflecting on our fathers and watching daughters and sons walking with their fathers enjoying a rather special evening.  I heard many bells ringing and owls hooting as the sun melted into the soft blanket and then darkness fell.

Angels breath floats

On tangerine waves

Over turquoise seas

As serenity breathes.

Weekly photo challenge: Masterpiece

Storm

Advancing storm,
Emitting an ecstatic
Crescendo,
As incantations
Eerily echo.

Tumeric fields,
Wheat crazed
As wind wildly
Rips ears:
Tears fall
In furrows.

Columns of water
Fall like bars,
Between one
World and
The next.

Amber light
Like cat’s eyes
Blinking,
Charcoal
Clouds
Like sailors’
Muscular arms,
Tugging ropes,
As battered ships
Surf the waves
On a spitting
Sea.

This post is my response to the daily post’s weekly photo challenge, ‘masterpiece’. I feel that nature itself is a masterpiece and a storm is a masterpiece I can watch over and over again. Enjoy.

Lullaby Iris

image

Lullaby Iris
Lilting sweet tones,
Gently rocking.

Lullaby Iris,
Comforting, caressing,
A galleon gliding on
A serene
And misty sea,
Exploring eternity,
Gently rocking.

Lullaby Iris,
Sweetly scented pillows,
Palest, pearlescent blue,
Romancing, dreaming,
Gently rocking.

Lullaby Iris,
Fairies frolicking
To mesmerizing melodies
Played by the fledgling lutist,
Flying on filigree clouds,
Gently rocking.

A-Z writing challenge, letter O One beautiful hour

When the clock struck midday
Nimbus sunshine shimmered
On pools of water,
Hiding away, cocooned by
Labrynth reed beds belonging
To the river Ant,
Where cootes and mallards
Play hide and seek.

After the storm

image

A mingle of footprints trail
Away from dissipating
Stormy weather,
Churning, spitting waves
Calmly flow into frothy,
Lacy edged, salty waves;
Spicy jewels, gleaming sea glass,
Glinting quartz and
Tiny scallop shells peep
Up from soft, warm wetness.
