Thanks so much for liking my pieces of art “Strange Light” and “Redemption.” And thank you for following my blog. Your photographs are beautiful as well as your words.
Lovely! Essence of summer
Thanks very much. I try to capture the essence of the seasons. 🙂
https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsThis reminds me of the countryside where we used to live – not far from where you are in fact! I always loved the poppies and dog roses. Rather less of both in our corner of Cornwall so it’s lovely to share yours vicariously 🙂
That’s lovely to have that memory. When we lived in Scotland I can’t remember seeing cowparsley, dog roses or big white daisies. It was a wild space with soft muted colours in the countryside. I remember giant foliage in Cornwall, it felt tropical there! 🙂
https://polldaddy.com/js/rating/rating.jsThese are beautiful images LG.. and your poem speaks so beautifully about these flowers.. I saw and took a photo of a dog rose only the other day.. So love this time of year.. And I have let some red poppies grow in our allotments, I was loathed to pull them all out.. xxx Hugs Sue xx
Thank you Sue. I hope you are well. The countryside is stunning and it’s lovely to see wild flowers in a border or amongst the vegetables! We’ve even found wild parsnip in one of our borders, it’s root smells like parsnip but I read online that its leaves are poisonous, so it will probably have to come out. Hugs xxx
That’s true! Isn’t it lovely to have gardening days, watched by an audience of birds! I have noticed so many more bees this year. Have you noticed an increase in numbers in your garden and allotment? Lol. Xxxx 🙂
