    • Thank you Sue. I’ve just discovered this little tool. I love typography. I hope you are enjoying the weekend too. It’s been 30ΒΊ here this afternoon and challenging to keep the wilting plants cool and our doggies. I can’t believe how the sun has ripened so many plums, apples, brambles and tomatoes. Our trees are laden with them. Enjoy πŸ™‚ xx

      • yes a neighbours plums in the allotments are ripening, The blackberries are huge and plump.. Sadly though our tomatoes although numerous are still green .. We have taken some leaves off to help ripen. They seem much later this year even though we set seeds and grew them on early enough.. They no doubt will all ripen together πŸ™‚ .. xxx Hope you manage to make the Apple and Blackberry Chutney.. Its really good with cheese πŸ™‚

        • That’s interesting about your tomatoes. I’m sure you’ll have a fabulous crop when they ripen. We’re definitely going to make your chutney it sounds so delicious and hubby and I adore cheese. Storms on the way tomorrow so maybe a good time have a go at the chutney. We now have three kilner jars of Damson gin safely tucked away…it’s all very exciting! πŸ™‚ xx

            • It is wonderful Sue, a very pleasant tipple to drink by the fireside on a cool evening. It has been so damp today that I have made a plum and apple with cinnamon, crumble. It is gluten and dairy-free…just thrown together but tastes great. I hope hubby enjoys it. I hope you’ve had a good day.:-) x

              • Sounds delicious and I often make a crumble using oats using Delicious Ella’s recipe.. πŸ™‚ And thank you I have had a lovely couple of days.. We went for a picnic today with our granddaughter making the best of the last of the Sun before the promised rain which hit around 4pm. πŸ™‚ Walked in Sherwood Forest. πŸ™‚

                • I make mine up but I do like ‘Deliciously Ella’s’ recipes, I must try it out. It’s been very wet here and I was aching all over after my dog walk, so I found a lemon, collected free range eggs from my next door neighbour’s chickens and made a Lemon drizzle cake, which although hasn’t risen much, it smells lemony and tastes delicious with a cup of tea. I think my baking session was good therapy for a wet afternoon. Did you enjoy your day with your granddaughter at Sherwood forest? I look forward to seeing your pictures. πŸ™‚
