Lilac lyrically
Soothes the
Humble Bumble,
Busily mumbling
And tumbling
In a jumbled
Shoal of sherbet,
Elfin confectionery.
Lilac starlets
For Fairy Queen’s
Tartlets.
Folklore describes the lilac tree as bringing peace and harmony. It represents spring having arrived and draws protective spirits into our lives. The lilac is buzzing with nature spirits where music is always being played bringing harmony into our lives.
I adore lilacs. Mine started blooming and the weather turned spectacularly hot and they just withered and died. So sad.
That’s a shame Renee. Our weather’s rarely perfect for our plants. It will be beautiful again next year. š
I grew up with Lilac trees in the garden and had one here many years ago.. Unfortunately it had got too large and was in the way of a new fence to be laid. So hubby thought it best is should go… He planted me a Butterfly Buddliea bush instead š
That’s a shame. A friend told me that the Lilac tree carries the wood worm beetle and maybe that is why it is also bad luck to take into the home, I haven’t heard of this. Buddliea is very beautiful and attracts butterflies, I bet you love it! š
I do, and its been featured in some of my garden flower pictures as last year it attracted lots of butterflies.. š
Lovely. I must take a peek. Xox
I love this!! I love your word choice, short but intense. Well, done!
Thank you Brenda. I think it’s been a good week for creativity. With thanks to all those light beings! š
Yes, indeed, thanks to the light!! Hugs, Brenda
