Rambling through
A forest glade,
Footsteps fade
Cushioned by
Plush mossy
Carpet,
Serendipitously
Made.
Flaked crispness:
Baked, blistered
Leaves fall
On a mournful
Lawn.
Hawks soar;
Glistening haws.
Scampering claws
Spiraling trunks
For tasty nuts.
Notes of claret,
Crushing blushing
Berries,
Musty moulds
Sticking
On toes,
Dogs noses
In holes;
Time to
Be traipsing
Home.
Wishing you a wonderful weekend, glad I just missed one post I couldn’t comment on as the comments had already closed… Enjoy your walks, the rain is set to go over the weekend x
Hugs Sue
Thank you Sue. I am really looking forward to walking and taking photos, hopefully, now that the jam and gin are done! Here’s hoping the weather will be fine for us. Take care. Xxx 🙂
You have a wonderful way as you play with words… and that photo has its own wow factor too… Thank you for taking me along your Forest Journey xox
My pleasure always Sue. Thank you xLol
We have some notes of claret here, too. Wonderful word choice, crisp and clear. Always a pleasure to come for a visit. 🙂
Thanks Brenda. Always good to see you too! 🙂
Lovely essence of autumn! My daughter and I love your photo too. 🙂
Blessings ~ Wendy
Thanks Wendy, I’m glad you both liked the photo of my dogs enjoying their walk, they had so much fun! 🙂
